What got you in to needlepoint?
I remember seeing my great-grandmothers work around my grandmothers house when I was little, then around early 2024 I was seeing cross stitch everywhere on TikTok. I started looking on Pinterest and saw needlepoint everywhere! It was definitely different from what my grandmother had in her house, but I tried to do some needlepoint on cross stitch fabric (lesson learned, Lol!) Then I finally went and got some needlepoint canvas and immediately started painting on my own canvas. I did purchase my first canvas at the same time and it was the Danji Designs Firefighter Candy Cane (That is still in my WIP Purgatory stash, oops!)
How did you start designing canvases?
Once I got my hands on some blank needlepoint canvas, I went to town. I tried it all (like all beginners do): sharpies, paint pens, and paint. We all know that paint worked so much better and thats when I started to just post about it and it gained traction!

What is your biggest inspiration when designing?
Definitely Memphis (hometown and never left) Any food and drink canvases, witty things my mom said while I was growing up, and stuff I love (hence why I have a hot sauce, Oreos, and martini canvas!)
Any fun upcoming drops or projects you can share with us?
I have so many fun things planned for Spring. I am working on 3 new self-finishing products that I just received samples for and they are so fun! Tons of canvases, and working on some new branded accessories.

What do you like to do when you aren’t designing canvases or working on your brand?
I love my time with my family. My days are spent revolving around my kiddos (Bennett who is almost 3 and Maddox who is almost 1) and hanging out with my Husband who is in the Military and a Firefighter.
What is your favorite thing about needlepoint and being a canvas designer?
My favorite thing is seeing other stitchers creativity when they stitch my designs or use my leather products. I love seeing a color swap I wouldn’t have thought of! I also love the community it brings along with needlepoint. It is scary to put your work that you have spent hours or days creating to the public. If I had any advice to new designers it would be to just GO FOR IT! If I didn’t, I would not be where I am today!
